Bled – The Champion’s Retreat
We begin at Lake Bled, a training ground for elite rowers and endurance athletes. Our visit includes:
•    Bled Castle – Standing tall like a victorious athlete, offering panoramic views of the lake.
•    Pletna Boat Ride – A peaceful journey to Bled Island, where champions and visitors ring the wishing bell.
•    Kremšnita & Coffee Break – A well-deserved treat, because even the best athletes need to recharge.

Kranjska Gora – The Birthplace of Ski Champions
Next, we explore Kranjska Gora, home to Slovenia’s top Alpine skiers and the legendary Vitranc Cup. This is where:
•    World Cup skiers push their limits on steep slopes.
•    Future stars train for greatness in the shadow of the Julian Alps.
•    The town breathes winter sports history, hosting international ski races.

Planica – The Home of Flying Heroes
Our journey continues to Planica, the world-famous ski flying venue where records are broken:
•    The world’s best ski jumpers have soared to victory here.
•    The iconic Letalnica hill has witnessed historic world records.
•    Slovenia’s greatest jumpers, including Peter Prevc, have made history on these slopes.
Feel the adrenaline as we walk next to the ski jumps and imagine the thrill of flying through the air.

Jesenice – The Heart of Slovenian Ice Hockey
Finally, we visit Jesenice, the cradle of Slovenian hockey, where Anže Kopitar took his first steps towards NHL stardom. This steel-town-turned-hockey-powerhouse has shaped generations of elite players. We stop at:
•    Podmežakla Ice Hall, home of Slovenia’s legendary hockey club.
•    The streets where Anže Kopitar grew up, before conquering the NHL with two Stanley Cups.
•    A local spot to enjoy a warm meal and celebrate the country’s incredible hockey legacy.

After Maribor, we head to Celje, known for its sporting pride.

Celje – Sports and Heritage
Celje Sports Park – Explore the home of handball, football, and volleyball heroes.

Feel the energy, the passion, and the unstoppable spirit of Slovenia’s sporting heroes! Some acchieved the most in USA from NBA rings (six) to Stanley cups (two) RAAM victories. Of course there are places where US champions proovewd their excellence on our slopes ...

Day 1 - Arrival to Venice

Arrival to the Venice airport, transport to hotel in Venice (hotel 3*), free afternoon (depending on your arrival time), overnight in Venice. 

 

Day 2 - Venice and arrival Ljubljana 

After the breakfast we will admire the history of Venice republic, learn about Goldoni, Wagner, Marco Polo or Casanova.  After guided tour through Venice, we head for Slovenia. Lunch at a tourism farm near the border. Arrival to LjubljanaSlovenia's capital city, hotel accommodation in Ljubljana (hotel 3*), free afternoon, overnight in Ljubljana.

 

Day 3 – A Day in the City of Champions

Slovenia is a small country with a big heart for sports! Ljubljana, its capital, has shaped world-class athletes, from NBA and NHL stars to Olympic champions. This tour takes you through the city’s most iconic sports locations while exploring its rich history and vibrant atmosphere. We end the day with a cable car ride to Ljubljana Castle, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the city. Raise a glass of local wine or craft beer and celebrate Slovenia’s incredible sports legacy. Overnight in Ljubljana.

Day 4 - The Birthplaces of Rowing, Ski&Hockey Champions and ski flying records

Breakfast in hotel, a day trip from Ljubljana to marvels of Gorenjska region with world renovn places of sport events and sucesses for US sport, too. Late afternoon return to Ljubjana. Overnight in Ljubljana.

Day 5 - Carsic fairy tell formations, "dragon babies"

Breakfast in hotel, half day tour  with transfer to Postojna, guided tour in Postojna cave and Predjama castle (for Postojna cave and Predjama castle - entrance fees), transfer to Ljubljana, hotel accommodation in Ljubljana (hotel 3*),
Optional aditional visit to Lipica stud where ono of best horse breads is trained for shows or competitions.
Transfer to Ljubljana and overnight.

 

Day 6 - From Celtic archeological remains to oldest olimpionic and Cosmos

Novo Mesto – City of Culture and Sport
Breakfast in hotel, a day tour to Novo mesto with a coach. Novo Mesto: Begin your day exploring the Novo Mesto Old Town, with its deep-rooted history and passion for sports. Visit local sports clubs that excel in basketball, handball, and cycling.Transfer to Ljubljana and overnight.
Sport Park: Check out Novo Mesto's sports facilities, where many local athletes have honed their skills, contributing to Slovenia's sporting successes.
Brežice – History and Sport
Brežice Castle: Continue to Brežice, where you'll visit Brežice Castle, a symbol of Slovenian heritage and a host of cultural and sports events.
Šmotiš: Visit Šmotiš, a place with ties to Slovenian sports and culture, enriching your understanding of the region’s sporting spirit.

Day 7 - Maribor second in size first in Slovenian Soccer and departure from Vienna

Breakfast in hotel, a day tour to Maribor, then heading to Vienna. Visit the town of most faithfull Soccer fans in the country.

Maribor – Sporting Legacy
Pohorje Ski Resort in town– Visit the famous resort where Tina Maze trained to become an Olympic and World Champion. She still helds some records in alpine ski competitions. Lindsay Vonn was her longtime competitor. 
Lent District – Walk through the Lent district, learning about the city’s sports history in basketball, football, and visit the world's oldest vine.

After Maribor, we head for Vienna for a short panoramic sightseeing that will include the Opera house, Town hall, the Parliament building, Hofburg, the University, St. Stephen cathedral. Time permitting, there will be also some free time before departure to the Vienna airport. End of our services.
